Wojciech Tracewski studied painting at the Art Academy of Warsaw. In the early 80’s he was one of the pioneers of the new at that time movement in art, called „Transvanguard” or „New Wave” in English and „Neue Wilde” in German. This style is characterised by it’s wild and provocative expression, emotionalism and very often the „poetics of the absurd”.
